The Rainbow Readers Packs aim to provide comprehensive sets of structured, teacher/TA led resources that work on all aspects of reading, including decoding, language structure (syntax), language comprehension, vocabulary and background subject knowledge.

The focus of the work is a decodable book, the Rainbow Reader that matches to one of Sets 2-7 of the Phonics for Pupils with Special Educational Needs programme (compatible with many other phonics programmes ). The focus is on VC and CVC words at the basic code level (1 to 1 grapheme-phoneme correspondence).
