School and academy leaders play a critical role in shaping whether learners can access education safely, consistently and lawfully.
This one-hour workshop is designed for senior leaders and decision-makers who need clear, confident understanding of access to education responsibilities, risk points, and system-level actions.
The session supports leaders to reflect on policy, culture and decision-making, with a focus on prevention, legal compliance and sustainable practice.
This course will help you to:
- Understand access to education at a strategic and systems level
- Clarify legal duties, thresholds and accountability
- Identify where policies or practices may unintentionally restrict access
- Build a strong relationship with parents and carers.
- Identify leadership actions that strengthen access and inclusion

Approach
This session is evidence informed and lived-experience led, combining legal clarity with practical insight.
It provides leaders with space to reflect, ask questions and leave with clear next steps that support both learners and staff.
This training session will be held on Zoom. Please ensure you have access to a stable internet connection and can turn your camera on. The session will end with a question and answer session.
You will be sent an email containing the Zoom link the day before the event.
Training Refund Policy
Cancellation up to 1 week prior to the event will enable a full refund. Cancellation the week of the event will enable a 50% refund. Should you cancel within 48 hours of the event or do not show up you will not be eligible for a refund.
